Business development lead at Anellotech

Daniel Borenstein is business development lead at Anellotech, a sustainable technology company that is commercializing its patented process technology to make cost-competitive renewable chemicals and fuels from wood and agricultural residues (the firm raised US$80 million in cash and in-kind contributions to date). Daniel’s responsibilities include performing market assessments and developing partnership opportunities. In addition to his business development responsibilities, Daniel provides strategic support to the CEO.

Prior to joining Anellotech, Daniel worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting as a management consultant specializing in industrial products and services industries, helping senior executives tackle critical business performance issues. Daniel has also worked as a R&D and process engineer in the steel industry, focusing on sustainable production and upstream processes. During his studies at NYU Stern School of Business, Daniel worked at a private equity firm in New York where he provided research and analytics support to spearhead the firm’s acquisitions strategy.

Daniel holds a bachelor’s degree in applied sciences and a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the Polytechnic School of Brussels, a diploma of specialized studies in management from the ICHEC Brussels Management School, and an MBA in Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business. As a participant in Engineers Without Borders, Daniel improved the efficiency of a plastic recycling plant in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Daniel is a native French speaker and he speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish fluently.
